Ohio Wesleyan President Rock Jones, Ph.D., said the university is excited to welcome its Class of 2017 and to help prepare these students for life in a rapidly changing, interconnected world.

"Ohio Wesleyan teaches students to analyze multiple viewpoints, identify sound logic, solve complex problems, and communicate solutions," Jones said. "We are dedicated to our students' success and to positively changing their lives every day."

Founded in 1842, Ohio Wesleyan is one of the nation's premier small, private universities. It offers more than 90 undergraduate majors, sequences, and courses of study, as well as 23 NCAA Division III varsity sports. Ohio Wesleyan combines an internationally focused curriculum with off-campus learning and leadership opportunities that connect classroom theory with real-world practice in all areas of study.

The university is among those featured in the latest edition of "Colleges That Change Lives: 40 Schools That Will Change the Way You Think About Colleges."

According to the respected guidebook: "[T]he campus buzzes with excitement. Everyone is dreaming big, and the college has the structure to support those dreams. ... The character development that accompanies intellectual growth is exceptional. Few places pay so much attention to the whole person."
