Michael Mora Brenes Recognized at Ohio Wesleyan's 2017 Golden Bishop Awards

2017 May 1

Ohio Wesleyan University's Golden Bishop Awards are presented annually to recognize students for outstanding achievements in leadership and community service.

On April 22, Ohio Wesleyan presented its 2017 Golden Bishop Awards. At the event, Michael Mora Brenes was honored with the Sara Paullin Casto Student Humanitarian Award for leadership in the Hispanic and Latinx Outreach (H.A.L.O.) organization; the Ohio Campus Compact Charles J. Ping Student Service Award for volunteer work to help address language and other barriers that impact the lives of immigrants, migrants, and refugees; the Guy Sarvis Award for cross-cultural understanding; and the Meek Leadership Award for exceptional leadership while at Ohio Wesleyan and the promise of exceptional leadership in the future.

The Golden Bishops are Ohio Wesleyan's version of the "Oscars," recognizing the best of the best during each academic year. Congratulations, Michael, and all of OWU's 2017 Golden Bishops!
