Nadya Sotnychuk Presents at Ohio Wesleyan's 2016 Student Symposium

2016 May 13

Nadya Sotnychuk presented original work at Ohio Wesleyan University's 2016 Student Symposium.

The second-annual event, held April 20, allowed students to share the breadth and depth of their OWU academic work, hone their professional presentation skills, and foster communication about future research projects and artistic creations.

Sotnychuk presented "The Effect of Capture Method on Microbial Abundance in Plumage of Eastern Yellow Robins (Eopsaltria australis)." Sotnychuk was mentored by Ohio Wesleyan faculty Laura Tuhela-Reuning.

Undergraduate research, conducted under the mentorship of expert faculty, is a central component of The OWU Connection, Ohio Wesleyan's unique approach to student learning that links academic theory with real-world practice; crosses academic department boundaries to support deeper, interconnected learning; and prepares students for global citizenship and leadership.
