Ohio Wesleyan University's Department of Performing Arts will present five performances of "Helen" at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 3, 4, and 5 and at 2 p.m. Oct. 5 and 6 in the Studio Theatre inside Chappelear Drama Center, 45 Rowland Ave., Delaware. Award-winning playwright Ellen McLaughlin adapted Euripides' tragicomedy to create "Helen," which was described by Variety upon its debut as an "impish, inquisitive new riff on the tale of Helen of Troy" and an "ambitious play is one part gleefully anachronistic comedy and two parts philosophical rumination on such ageless subjects as the futility of war and the dangers of icon worship."

Ohio Wesleyan University's Department of Performing Arts will present five performances of "Absolute Zero," a musical spy thriller, between April 11 and April 20, 2024. The play is described by Broadway World as "a taut, funny musical thriller" that offers "a gleeful reclamation of the patriarchal and often sexist spy genre." Break a leg, Bishops!

Ohio Wesleyan University's Department of Performing Arts will present a showcase in April of eight new musical theatre works, all themed around moving toward (or away from) things we love. "Journeys of Love: A Festival of New Musical Theatre, Written by Professional Composers, Lyricists, and Book Writers" features songs and scenes from many of the most talented theatre-makers working in the industry right now. The university will present five performances of "Journeys of Love" at 7:30 p.m. April 1, 2, 8, and 9, and 2 p.m. April 10 on the Main Stage of Chappelear Drama Center, 45 Rowland Ave., Delaware.
