Ohio Wesleyan University held its 173rd commencement ceremony on May 13, 2017. The OWU Class of 2017 included 383 spring, summer, and fall graduates, with students representing 20 countries from Afghanistan to Venezuela. Ohio Wesleyan University is awarding 16 new Theory-to-Practice Grants to support student research, internship, service, and cultural-immersion opportunities throughout the world.

Nearly 60 Ohio Wesleyan University students spent spring break participating on one of OWU's seven Interfaith Service teams. Chad Johns, director of the Interfaith Service program, said the student-created teams incorporate "intentional service and reflection with people of diverse faiths, philosophies, and perspectives [to] deepen our understanding of ourselves and each other, even as we work to improve the world around us."

The students presented information and answered questions about their research findings, which were documented in posters outlining each project.

Ohio Wesleyan University's Department of Theatre & Dance will present four performances of Tom Stoppard's award-winning "Arcadia" between Oct. 8 and Oct. 10, 2015. The witty comedy intertwines science, literature, and human relationships as it follows two sets of family and friends -- both at the same English country house but separated in time by two centuries.
